The HDC was proud to be part of this year’s Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, held under the theme “Building Bridges: Connecting Agriculture, Industry, and Community.” This theme was a perfect fit for our mission to link farmers with markets.
Throughout the week, our stand buzzed with activity as we met growers, agribusiness leaders, and development partners eager to learn how horticulture can drive Zimbabwe’s economic growth. We took the chance to engage policymakers, proposing steps we can take to help the industry meet its vast potential. We showcased our work in export market development, training, and the Hub & Spoke model, which connects emerging farmers to high-value markets.
Farmers were especially keen to hear about new opportunities and our ongoing efforts to strengthen value chains for crops, from avocados to cut flowers. Many visitors shared their own success stories and ideas for collaboration, evidence that the sector is alive with innovation and energy.
